Is this
Gluten Free?
By finding the sliver of comedic relief that often lies in the answer.

Show of hands, have you ever asked
Is This Gluten Free?
This is an awareness campaign ment to benefit the non-profit organization Celiac Canada and help aid them in their mission to support people with Celiac disease. They do this by bringing awareness and reform to people suffering with this disease and being the primary support network and resource for people on how to succesfully and safely follow a gluten free diet.
I have relied on their support and information since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease and I wanted to amalgamate my graphic design abilities and sense of humour to breath life into these conversations they are having. So my driver to this campaign was the excruciating and all important question that has become so important "Is this gluten free?".

Process
Visual Direction
This campaign works closely with the Celiac Canada to create a conversation online to get people talking about the diet and grow a greater understanding of what life is like for someone with Celiac Disease who lives their life with the question close and at the ready. Gluten hides in the weirdest places, and this campaign is not afraid to highlight that absurdity. From surprising food facts to left-field scenarios, the campaign sparks curiosity and conversation, making it impossible to scroll past.
Impact
This isn’t just an awareness campaign—it’s an invitation to be part of the conversation. By embracing confusion and absurdity, we build connections, educate, and create a supportive community where celiac safety isn’t a mystery. It’s just one incredibly free (as of 2025) membership away.
Social media reels
Advertisements and engaging motion content that continues to tell the story of this campaign by prompting questions, giving the audience a moment to respond and then revealing the answer. Following a very clear narrative structure to keep an audience engaged.

Outcome
Funny and Educational
The final product stands out with its expressive pop art style and bold visuals. It succeeds at being energetic and reminiscent of propaganda posters which can draw an eye and curiousity to these visuals.
Through this experience, I gained valuable insights into building a campaign, how to logistically create a design language that can be used in print and social media and how to be a little silly and serious at the same time.
